I've heard a few issues on various forums about different clutch problems on the MT-82 equipped GT's (clutch assembly fails, faulty slave cylinders, and of course the common sticking pedal at high RPM shifts). Just curious if any of you have been having issues with your clutch or transmission on your new 5.0's. Please chime in even if the answer is no.

1. Yes (describe issue) or No
2. Current mileage

I hate to say it but yes, car had 1040 when i dropped it off 10 days ago, no pressure on clutch pedal they replaced master cylinder but that didnt solve the problem now waithing for the slave cylinder but it is on back order from the vendor and no word of when it will be in, only had the car for 2 weeks when it went out, wont be long and it will have been in the shop longer than i had it!!!

Uh oh. I have had my car 2 weeks, and put on 950 miles - no issues. I have not been so easy on it either. But I have not gone overboard, so if there are any issues, they may not have surfaced just yet.

EDIT: I now have 1,600 miles, and so far so good. I have been much harder on it also.

Mine happend out of nowhere just doing some spirited driving, shifting bout 5000rpms and started to coast down to speed went to upshift to cruise and had no pressure on clutch pedal almost impossible to shift gears hope yours dosnt have issues but there are several others with problems

That sucks, hope they get it fixed for you soon.

I have 2700 miles on it and it just started having a problem last night. Whenever i start my car it won't let me put my car into reverse, i have to shut it off and put it in reverse and then i have to start it. When I put it in first gear it takes alot of effort and it takes me maybe 6 or 7 tries to get it in gear. When i downshift sometimes it grinds and i have to rev match perfectly so it dosent grind. Some upshifts feel clunky and if the downshift does work right it also sometimes feels like that. Finally when I'm letting go of the clutch pedal it shakes a little bit at the top of the release.

For those of you that are going to wait - I laugh at you. Just relax, three people on an internet forum does not mean there's this huge issue that should prevent you from buying the car. Mine works perfectly.

Laugh all you want .. When my key cylinder went out in my GTO it sat at the Dealership for 2 weeks waiting on parts ... Dont think that everything that comes out on a new car will work right ..

Mine did the same thing as yours is, hope they can get it fixed for you quick my slave cyliner should be here tomorrow. As for the clutch pedal fix thats not the issue it is a hydraulic pressure issue
