Your launch isn't consistent. You may be gettin some tire spin comin off the line or you may not be launchin at the same rpm's. Also temp and humidity will affect your times as well. Because you et is fairly close to each other aside from your very first run in the car which that can be accredited to not being used to the car.

Just as crazy said your launch is very inconsistent, whether that be driving, tires or the track. Something else to keep in mind is the more you spin the more inflated your MPH will be, the better your traction the lower your MPH is. Weather is also a big factor so when you compare one night to another you have to know what the DA was for a given night (Density Altitude). You can have two nights at the track that feel the same outside but can vary by a DA of 500' and throw your MPH off by 2 or your ET's by .2.

@ burningrubber I went to northeast dragway in hertford nc and yea the tires wont hook may need to lower tire pressure and run it a nice cool night but hey all the other 2v running 10.20s and 10.50s so i had fun winning :) but whats the best time the car should run on a good launch 8.9s?

Stock mustang should be around 14.5 in a 1/4 from what I'm seeing online. That's about 9.3 in an 1/8.

Not sure where that's at. I'm familiar with 710, Rockingham, Fayetteville, Jackson, and 'Rico in NC.

If the other 2v's were running 10's, you were doing pretty damn good.

A stock 99-04 stick car should run 14.0-14.4 or so, 14.5 depending on skill, prep, and weather.

A stock 99-04 auto car should run 14.2-14.6, same as above.

Before my buddy got rid of his car, he went 9.0 on street tires bone stock. Apparently the previous owner of my car did the same, but I can't confirm that.

There's some of your problem. That track SUCKS, period. My brother has raced there a couple of times with his 7.3 Powerstroke; all he has in intake, exhaust, and 150 hp chip; it's not a fast truck, 9.5 on a good day; he was spinning all 4 tires launching....:notnice: He says the track just isn't ever prepped very well.

The weather in NC lately has also not been good for racing. High temperatures + high humidity = slow times. I went through this last summer. Wait till October, and drive the extra hour down to the Outer Banks Speedway in Creswell (or maybe less depending on where you live), and amaze yourself.

A mild bolt-on PI GT should get into the 8s at about 80 mph (1/8 mi) with a driver, weather, and decent track.

Let me know if/when you go to Creswell. While I'm normally in Raleigh, I come home to my parent's place in Williamston pretty regularly. And because it's less than an hour drive from there, I go pretty often.
