02 mustang lowering project

i have a 2002 Gt, i want to lower it 1.5 all the way around, i got the 315's in the back and i just want suggestions on the type of spring i should get.. like whats the difference between progressive and not? H&R ss springs offer the best drop for 18's. If you are running 17's delete your isolators.

Think of progressive springs as adaptive. How they perform is based on load, and their spring rates differ accordingly.

The BBK springs are probably fine. A lot of people run the FRPP C-springs, but it seems they lower the front more than the rear, giving the car a rake.

The progressive rate lowering kits are specifically designed to improve handling characteristics while still offering a comfortable ride. These springs will lower your mustang approximately 1.25".

thanks for the help guys! ill order those today then.. the only issue now is my exhaust hangs so low lol it might be an inch off the ground after lowering, but nothing a little heat cant fix.. the pypes o/r x doesnt fit for too much of anything

my old h was about an inch or so off the ground, then when i swapped to my pro chamber it was the came way...i ended up welding hangers on it and was able to tuck it up higher...you should be able to find a muffler shop that will do the same for like $30 or something like that...good luck

I like the C's

I have a 2000 GT with Eibach Pro Kit and Illuminas. I had a 97 GT with the Ford Racing C's and for the street I like them better. Actually they do sit lower in the front but right in the instructions it says that if you want to even it out they show where to cut the rears. The C's actually road better with only Monroe Sensa Tracs. Even though they are a Linear High Rate 650 front and 300-450 rears (same as the Eibachs rears) you would think they would be harsher but they were not. I do like the Illuminas for their adjustability. Fun!
