2011 Where are you?

So everyone is saying the 2011 Mustang is selling like hot cakes, but why am I not seeing them on the road. I've seen a grand total of 1 yes just one, 5.0.

Are they all in the garage collecting dust?

Do you guys use them as dailys?

If they are selling like hot cakes, I don't really see it either. I am also south & east of Houston. I have seen one 5.0 on the streets & one V6. I've finally started seeing alot of 2010 GT's & V6's now. If 2011's are selling like hotcakes, they must not be of the V8 6-spd manual variety. The dealer where I ordered my 2011 had four 6-spd manual GT's on the lot when I ordered my car 9-1/2 weeks ago. All four are still there plus two more. Then again, it's well known that they sell more auto's than manuals.

If the one you saw was a silver spoiler delete, that was probably me.

I've noticed as I drive it around I can see people's eyes as they look at the fender. From fifth-ward hoodies in Oldsmobiles to the guy on the Hayabusa this past Monday on the inbound commute on the Gulf freeway. Oddly enough, I have yet to see someone in a mustang that even notices the car. I realize they make a bajillion mustangs and the odds are against running into any kind of enthusiast.

Are you all coming to Coffee and cars tomorrow? (4th Sept)

Helfman Ford are certainly selling their GT's and as far as I know I guess the V6's too, but I'm still not seeing them.

The reason I want a Mustang is to drive it. It doesn't matter so much if you put 100,000 miles on a mustang, but if that were a Jaguar or Aston Martin, that would be an issue.

Wasn't planning on it. I'm scheduled to work tomorrow.

The only reason I went before was to show it to some particular people I knew would be there. Since I have the base model it's not much of a show-n-shine type of car.

I was planning on running it in the Texas Mile in October but I didn't get in before they closed registration. Maybe in March.

I took delivery of my '11 GT back in May and I have yet to see another on the road here in San Antonio. Kind of makes me special with all the thumbs ups, staring and great complements I receive just about everyday.

My dealer is hunting down the exact model I'm looking for so I don't have to wait for an order. I've been told there are, in fact, some production issues. Don't know what exactly on though.

Here's the thing that's killing Ford the way I see it. The package availability is ridiculous. If I want sat/nav I have to get a Premium with leather. I hate "leather" seats in a car. And yes I've owned higher end cars with real leather and I hate that as much as the fake stuff. Also, killing any option packages on base models AND removing the option packages for auto trans cars. I should be able to get any wheels I want if I need a manual OR auto trans.

Used to be, I could walk in a dealership and go down the list and get only the options I wanted on the car. Being forced into options I really don't care for to get others I want is just plain stupid. And some of the packages are very misleading (Brembo brakes on the front only, while Camaro gets all 4 standard).

I'm a Ford Die hard. I own a 99 stang, 04 Expedition, 06 Focus, and will be taking delivery of my 11 stang this coming week. But Ford is really screwing things up with these packages that make no sense at all. It brought me this close || to looking at Challengers.

I have to agree with you. I've been a Mustang fan since '67 when my uncle Charlie used to ride me around and let me sit in the front seat. :D I've owned 3 of them all bought new. I too was very disappointed with the way Ford did things with the '11. :notnice: I wanted the Candy Red paint but couldn't get it with redbrick interior. Now what kinda :bs: is that, since one has nothing to do with the other. If you got the pedestal spoiler you had to get that fake hood scoop. crapola I heard later they changed that but why set it up that way in the first place. What really burned my  was not being able to get sub woofer with the NAV. Speaking of the NAV system, I have a Tom Tom unit that I can use anywhere on the planet that cost me $400.00. The Nav in the car is over 2k and only good in the USA. I considered the Challenger also but would have to throw away all my Mustang t-shirts and hats. :( C'mon Ford stop pulling my

The one I've seen was black w/spoiler. But I'll be on the look out for ya. I just got my Kona blue w/brembos today. Maybe I'll see you around.

I think I had seen three (2 5.0s and 1 v6) before this thread and I really watch for them, check the v6's etc but since it started I must have seen 10 or 12 of them. The universe must have put them out there because of this thread.

I've only seen 2 others near me in L.A. but I'm seeing quite a few 2011 V6.

Now I've seen more 5.0's at cruise/meets but as far as just on the street, only 2-3.I think It's the economy not everyone can afford the GT these days.

I got mine 2 weeks ago with 12 miles on her now i have 1200. I just love driving her around!! Kona Metalic blue, Brembo brake and wheel upgrade, Navigation, black leather seats, white strip on the exterior, 3:73 gears, dual A/C control, and back up cam
