Went to the track last night

I was bored last night, so I decided since I havent ran my car at the track, I would go ahead and see what it would do. Personally, I am super happy with the car. On the first burn out, I noticed that I had the 1 wheel peel going on, so I knew the car was going to spin. I also had the 100 jet's in instead of the 125's. Then I was also on my 275/40/ 17 street tires. I almost decided to not run the car, just becaue I figured the car was not going to do good. Here's what my time slip says:

60ft - 2.06
330ft - 5.44
1/8th - 8.29
mph - 91.07
1000ft - 10.54
mph - 103.85

For having that horrible of a 60 ft, I am super happy with how it ran. I know it's slow, but for being a stock 2v with a 100 shot on street tires and stock gears, I'm very happy with it.

Thanks,

I am putting my RPM window switch in this week, so next time I go to the track I will feel comfortable shifting the car fast. I was so scared/nervous about missing a gear and cracking the intake that I just couldnt make my self shift very fast.

That's not bad at all for your mods. It's actually pretty dang good. When I ran my best 1/4 of 13.12, my 1000' time was 10.98; you are .44 faster than that, so you are probably in the 12.6-12.7 range, which is more than respectful.

I apprecaite it guys. The only track's in Arkansas are 1000ft tracks. I would like to go to Oklahoma some time and run it.

I am really hoping I can get into the 9's with it. I really think it has it with that mph. I am wanting to put some skinnies up front, do a little weight reduction ( I still had the spare tire and some other stuff in the trunk), and get a good tire and see what she will run on the stock gears.

Not bad at all! Especially on street tires!

If you really want come run in OK, you should do it on October 23rd in Tulsa. We are having our 3rd annual Modular vs Pushrod Ford powered shootout. It is always a good time and the track here hooks very well when they prep it for an event.
