Part out or sell as a roller?

Guys,
Seems like the 64.5 has to be sold sometime soon due to other projects and not enough funds for everything in my life. My question is this: Is it worth more for me to part out my coupe or to sell it as a roller? Originally the car was a manual 289 car, in torquise. The body is in perfect shape, but there is some rust on the front frame rails. The interior is complete with a white premium interior, and has a 6 point roll cage. There is no motor or transmission,stock 8 inch rear, and craeger rims . It really is a nice car, which also is making me slightly upset about parting it out. Last but not least, any ballpark price range for a complete car? I can look up part prices to a part out myself.

I vote for selling it as a roller so it can live on with someone else. I would check Craigslist for prices in your area or maybe Ebay if you want a broader audience

Yep...sell as a roller. You may never get rid of all the parts plus you have your labor to consider.

I agree, sell as a roller. You'll give the car a much greater chance of life if you keep it intact, as opposed to being a nice new roof or front end for somebody's hack job

Can anyone give a ballpark value for the car? I really want to see it go to someone who will enjoy it and take good care of it, but I also don't want to get killed selling it for too low of a value. Cars in NJ btw.

I would be real tempted to find a decent engine and tranny and sell the car as a complete driver.

If i could find a very very cheap motor and transmission I would put them in no problem. Problem is that the motor that was in the 65 got put into my 89 race car, so I have literally no drivetrain parts. Theres not much chance of me getting a complete drivetrain for a cheap price.

If it was here on the west coast I'd most likely have a buyer for you but i'd put it around 4ish since all the body work is done; if you make it a driver i'd say maybe 2 or 3k more.

I find it hard to believe that you can't find a running rust bucket late model van or something else with a 5.0/302 to yank the drivetrain out of. In your area I would guess that a running mid 80s, rustbucket, that won't pass smog (because of the cost of refurbing the horrible smog crap) van or crown vic could be had for $400-$800. Check out your local and surrounding Craigslist.

The issue is less about finding an actual motor and transmission, and more about all the little parts that add up (clutches, flywheels, intake/carb, conversion brackets, etc.) Looks for sure like I will be selling it as a roller or complete, and not parting it out. So I guess thats some-what of a positive.
