ok, im brand new here so to start off ill give alittle info about the car.. Got a 92 lx 5.0 ....converted to T-5 ( original auto computer still in it) minor upgrades include msd distributor and cap, msd coil, full BBK cold air, 2 1/2in off road H-PIPE with series 40 flowmasters (no cats).. and just recently installed new clutch quadrant( aluminum), clutch cable, new clutch stage 2 zoom, and steel bearing retainer. . also have a new flex fan up front ( dont think that really matters). ok, now for the first problem i have of about 10! lol.. ok, so going down the road in any gear when under load ( wont do it going downhill) at about 4 grand i get a sound from the engine bay that sounds like ball bearings being shaken in a steel can.. i was told that it may be crank bearings but im not too sure, now i do have a slight tap from the drivers rear valve cover, i imagine its just a rod tapping? i also was told that these 5.0's are pretty much bulletproof. which i have verified slightly because i literally run this car hard. (5200rpm) constantly. so needless to say im pretty brutal to it... i just need to get some opinions on what this sound may be. iw ould hate to be left stranded somewhere, so if i can get a definent (or somewhat near) answer ill just rip the thing apart and start upgrading... any help here would be awesome!! then i can introduce some more of my problems!
