What about a top end kit from trick flow? all the parts you need minus the injectors and meter, in one package.

Trick Flow offers a fine product...the key is to stick with a proven package.

If your car runs ok for now, start upgrading the upper and lower arms in the rear, get the poly bushings for the ears on the 8.8 and some new spring isolators while you are at it.

Next pre investment would be a bigger fuel pump and a nice kirban FPR. I've run Aero and Holleys and both have failed.

If you have the stock clutch, grab a king cobra and start breaking it in now; resurface the flywheel of course.

UPR makes a nice quick release quadrant over the stock platic ratcheting pawl. Get the extreme firewall adj, and QR quadrant. I think a few have complained about UPR's cable quality so you may want to source out a different adj one.

Pro 5.0 Shifter is a nice upgrade.

I would get these upgrades out of the way first before I touched the engine; again, this is my opinion after having built two Foxes.

This is VERY good advice, I can;t tell you how many times I see high HP cars that have no suspension work or brake work done to help control all that HP. I think I'll be selling my 78 King Cobra to help pay for the upgrades to this coupe.

well that depends now...I was just offered a 2001 Saleen S281 with 60K miles for a very good price, might have to sell this coupe AND the King. I wanted 350 HP, in a nice presentable car, I don't really do flashy so stock look is OK, paint it the same emerald green and drive it.

Don't get me wrong, I like coupes as well as a lot of other people, but your '77, if it is in fact the one in your avatar, looks mighty fine. Personally, I'd hang onto the King, because you see even less of those on the road than you do Fox coupes. You could always do something to yours like this one:

That Cobra II with the blower is sick, he posts over on mustangii.net. I'll post a picture up of my king, she is bright and draws alot of attention. The car in my Avatar is a Cobra II I sold last summer, it was original down to the plug wires and oil filter, nice car but very slow.

im sorry but that car is awful.. the motor is badass but the car is gross:puke:

Nothing wrong with a 347.

Smaller runners will help with better economy though.

If you are thinking turbo, those guys are making some serious torque with stock everything. Pretty much the same torque I'm making and a little less hp, but talk about a wicked street combo.

Turbos or any power adder can be more maintenance and more of a headache on a DD.

Most have agreed that a fun DD package would be a set of thumper heads, cobra intake, 65 mm t-bod, a Cobra bumpstick. Great throttle response, high 12 second possibility on a slick, yet purrs like a kitten when your stuck in traffic. 24lb injector and a 75 mm maf.

If I had to build a DD Fox, it's how I would do it.
