Clutch and flywheel question

have a 2000 gt....engine went out so now i am having a new one built but instead of using my old windsor block i now have a romeo block...with that being said i need a new flywheel...i currently have a king cobra clutch (about 2 yrs old)...i know its worht going ahead and putting in a new clutch and getting a real good flywheel but money is kind of tight right now so i really just need to finish the build...question is what is more economical way to approach this...meaning get a new basic clutch and flywheel from an autopart store or keep my clutch and get just a flywheel...any ideas guys...

if there's nothing wrong with the clutch, then just get a new throw out bearing, pilot bearing, and depending on your budget then you can upgrade the flywheel....you can always just upgrade the clutch disc as well if the PP is in good shape

or you can get a better clutch set up and just re use the stock flywheel... if it were me, and the clutch was still in good shape, id get an aluminum flywheel and the new tob/pilot and call it a day

hope that helps

oh...then grab up a new flywheel and double check your clutch..if its still good and you havnt bent the forks or completely destroyed the disc, reuse it...IMO id rather reuse the KC then buy a standard replacement one from an auto parts store...just me though

i was thinking the same thing...yea i know its smart to replace the clutch and start all fresh but when money is tight you cant do it all at once...thx
