Is there a difference between Satin Silver Clearcoat and Silver Clearcoat Metallic?

In other words would a silver 2002 GT trunk lid and spoiler be a 100% interchangeable swap for a silver 1999 GT trunk lid and spoiler?

Same question for the hood too, actually.

I wouldn't think there would be much difference to the naked eye... but to say 100% interchangeable is a tough call to make. I think they have two different paint codes. Is there anyway you can check the paint codes for those parts? Might want to check with a Ford Dealership and ask them.

Pics arent the best, but at least its something.

The car is satin silver pearl. The mirrors are silver metallic. You cant tell a difference between the two. Maybe with a something that is larger like the hood or trunk you would, but I bet only you would since you know its different.

From 10 ft it wouldn't make a difference at all but to me it looks like from the side the mirrors look a bit whiter to me than the body color. It isn't going to be as big of a difference as I would have since I have a laser red and if I wanted to not paint cobra parts I would have to get fire red and they would'nt match up at all.

I think the mirrors also look like a little lighter shade then the body. But on something so small it doesnt bother me one bit. On the trunk it would bother me. id try and locate the correct color.
