Looks awesome man! I have to replace my smashed grille insert, I think I'm going to get one with the running pony this time. My last one was just the opening without the pony
Hey guys - thanks for the welcome back. It's been awhile since I've been on stangnet but now I'm here to stay. I became pre-occupied with restoring the Cobra and - unfortunately - the GT ended up taking a back seat for a couple years. I finished the Cobra and decided to sell it a couple months ago so I could fully concentrate on the GT again.
Mob is right about the suspension setup. I went bilsteins and MM all around, coilover up front, front control arms, extreme duty weight jackers in the rear w/ MM springs, and MM front sway bar. The car already has a MM PHB and will get the MM TA and K-member in January. I also just had the rear done by DTS in Michigan - eaton truetrac, 31 spline mosers, welded axle tubes, 9" housing ends and powder coated. Also changed out the rear 9" wheel for a 10" which I think helped the stance a lot. I got everything in this past weekend and had some nice weather for break-in. Here's some pics of the front setup and I'll add some of the rear later.
Looks really good, the 10" rear wheel is key! I would love to see a rear shot...I have a black GT and was thinking about putting cobra lenses on my tail lights with the factory GT spoiler.....Looks great! Makes me want to drive mine BUT>>>>>it snowed 5" inches lastnight!
