Anyone using silverstar tail bulbs

Just was wondering whether or not it was worth the extra cash for the silverstars in the 3157 tail bulbs and the 3156 backup light bulbs by silverstar. If anyone had them or experience with them? I am installing the tinted tails from AM and also the sequential tail lights as well and wondered if the silverstar bulbs would be a nice touch or if it would be worth it. Also if anyone has the silverstar fog light bulbs can comment on if they like/dislike those as well...

Thanks,
Dan

Yeah I was thinking more along the lines of the backup light output...thinking it might give better vision backing up with the brighter silverstars? I also just installed the new tinted tails from AM and they seem bright enough with the standard bulbs, but was curious if they would look even better with the brighter bulbs? Also wondered if the extra intensity would produce more heat and in turn damage the smoke coating they put on the lights? Same would go for my new smoked fog lights...just wondering if extra heat would cause any damage to them?

Thanks,
Dan

I know how you feel. My tint is 20%. I don't think that will add too much visibility when backing though, but I have yet to hear of anyone trying it. They are not that expensive, right?

I had to put a new taillight assembly in our 01 and tried the silverstars but didn't buy enough of them, so i mixed in some of the old lights and figured that if there was a difference that i would swap out the old ones later. put everything back together and hit the switch, no difference that i could tell. moral of the story is silverstar headlights = yes, everything else = save yo money.

Thanks, aar0s, I was wondering if much of a difference could be told. And yeah there is quite a bit of difference in price...the silverstars are about 2.5 times the price of the sylvania LL bulbs. The silverstar's are a little over 7 bucks per 2 as the LL's are a little over 2 bucks per 2 bulbs. Glad I didn't waste my money on them then!
