Anyone supercharged with the Hot Rod cam???

Yes, it's been done repeatedly and the result is mainly a great sounding idle and maybe a little gain. The valve overlap is excessive for F/I causing some of your boost to escape out with the exhaust. A real good F/I cam won't have the cool old school idle. I can say Hot Rod cams won't hurt performance from the information I've seen.

I was just worried that there would be a bigger lost than what I wanted...compared to running the stock cams. If there is no lost running the hot cams...I'll go with the sound. nothing like the old school! A tech from Comp cams told me they would be fine. When you switched from stock to the Hot cam....did you have to change the pulley? Do you lose any boost?

Thanks

nope i didnt lose any boost, gained about 35 hp on the dyno. MUST GET THEM DYNO TUNED. they will run like crap if you just use a generic tune for the cams because every setup is different. if anything i might have lost a little low end torque...
