Has anyone used this 5-lug conversion kit

I almost bought that kit to have a basicly bolt on 5 lug conversion, and they have answered questions pretty promptly. i just found it kind of expensive when i got all my 5 lug, and brake upgrade parts for less then that at the jy. just my opinion, but i know youre going to be pretty limited on the wheels you can use on that kit...

Does anyone else have a complete kit?

thats a whole lot of money just to go 5 lug, witch is what it seems hes wanting to go with. please let me know if im wrong...

That's the impression I get. I spent about $500 converting my hatch, but then again I still have drums on the rear too. That kit gets you Cobra brakes all around, which is a huge improvement obviously. Course you gotta pay for it.

i guess we really got it good here in the st. louis area, basicly got everything for my 5 lug, and 4 wheel disc setup at the junk yard for well under 400, actually probably under 300...

what 5 lug conversion where i can get the bullit deep dish rims? with out the rear wheels sticking out too far?.. what size do i go? 9.5 o 10.5??? planning on doing the conversion, but a friend told me about i cant use those rims with any 5 lug... heres a pic of wat im talking about... not trying to steal thread...

Mine would have been cheaper except I couldn't find the SN-95 spindles/Ranger axles locally. I had to get them off of Ebay. :notnice:

do the sn swap and get these...

Mustang 1994-04 Wheel, Bullitt, Black, 5 Lug, 18X10 at LRS - Same Day Shipping!

i think a 10.5 would cause issues, but im not 100% but these are 10"
i did the 2003 18x9 with 275 40 18's and they sit nice and "tucked" in the wheel well

You need a cnversion that keeps the stock fox track out back....either 5-lug drum. Or a modified disk brake setup using 5-lug fox length axles.

Up front, the hub of the fox style rotors tends to interfere with the inside hub of the wheel. You can try using the mark 7/svo style rotors but will most likely need a spacer to make it work. At which point the front wheels will stick out more than the rears.

The best front setup is to use an sn95 front brake setup, but involves swapping out your spindles. However, if you keep the rear drums you don't need to change the master cylinder with most setups

i think i can get the sn95 fronts for sure... n ill do the rear swap from ranger with drums for now and do a disk convertion later up the road... but what i was telling 89drop was that i was trying to stay 17'' but still want that nice lip.. and i see 17x10.5 and 18x10.5 but i dont know if 10.5 will be too wide for my fox....

i would (and did), but i also have cobra brakes up front, with a plan to do the cobra rears eventually.

the 10.5's will probably require some mods. the quads most certainly will have to go, roll the fender lips, and maybe some work with a bfh on the wheel tubs. this is with the sn95 offset on the wheels and fox length axles.

a 9" wide wheel should be more than wide enough for street duty if you dont want to go through all the work though, and will still fit a 275 wide tire no problem.

cool cool.... but i was wondering if i can stay 17''? i didnt see 17x10 but i saw 17x10.5? cuz 10'' looks like a very good lip that im looking for but the 18'' might be too big for me:shrug:

i have 18x9 chrome 03 cobras on the back of mine with a 275 wide tire and it really sits pretty nice in the rear well of my 89 GT vert... just sayin, the 18 really looks good on the back to me.

Is the clearance real good all the way around? IE, is it real close anywhere? Did you have to remove the quads? I kinda want to go with DD Bullitts on my 91.

i dont have any clerance issues with mine at all, but its yet to be driven since everything was put together. up front has 275 wide tires too and hasnt had any rub anywhere when i just turn the wheel... i might end up with a little rub in the rear when i take a corner once i get everything put back together and drive it, but probably either on the quads, or tail pipes... just wish i could get it out to let you know for sure...
