Hi All,

I am in the market for a 65-66 Fastback. I am looking to spend $15,000 or less. I am located in Florida but I am willing to travel to get the right car. Below are the main things I am looking for, but in short I am looking for a good body, including paint, and a complete interior. PM me with any leads, thanks in advance for the help!

Rust Free
Good Paint (any color but red)
Driveable
No Missing Parts (on the body and interior)
Can be a V8 or I6 car

I have been surfing ebay and have found plenty of cars for under $20k. I am just trying to find all the available options. I have no interest in the powertrain as I intend on swapping over everything from my coupe. Thanks for the advice though.

I am in FL as well but I agree with above statement. It is going to be VERY difficult to find one at $15k or under in good body condition. I am not saying it cannot be done but a tough find. Good luck w/ Ebay and not actually inspecting the car. Even if you do, there will always be surprises once you start the tear-down. That is one of the reasons I went w/ a coupe because a fastback is usually 10-15k more and may be in no better condition. Good Luck and let us know what you find.

Thanks for the wishes. I am in no rush, hopefully the right car will come along. I found my 65 coupe on ebay and ended up driving it all the way from Vegas to Orlando. I do agree that ebay can be hit or miss sometimes. I hope I can find a seller that is willing to send me plenty of pictures...I'll be sure to post what I end up finding, along with the powertrain swap.

Thanks everyone.

Let me clarify....I am looking for a rust free driver with good paint. I am not looking for a concourse show car. I will be sure to let everyone know how my search goes, I know this will take a few months.

Hi everyone,

Quick update. I just bought a 65 fastback. It ended up costing me 16k but it way better equiped that I was looking for, I just need to find a set of factory buckets for the front as right now it has some late model seats that arent my taste in it. I should have it home in the next week but here are some pictures and specs on it for now.

1965 Fastback:
New Ford Racing GT40 motor 340hp (under 1000 miles)
Top Loader 4spd
Ford 9 inch rear
4wheel dis brakes
Power Steering

I think the pictures will do the rest of the talking. Thanks

Thats freakin sweet! I love the color. I agree about the seats. It also needs a front bumper and some parking lights. When you get it home get an underhood and interior shot any others you want to share.

Hi I actually have a few pictures of the interior and Motor Ill post them at the bottom of this. As mentioned before I will be swapping over the 408w and Gforce T5 from my coupe into this car and will just clean up the 5.0 and put it in my coupe. I know its going to be a good amount of work but totally worth it.

Thanks for the kind comments.

I totally agree, not a fan of the seats. If they were at least upholstered in black leather or something it would be better. The car definitely looks like a sweet ride. I hope your drivetrain swap between them goes well.
