My new wheels....something a little different.

sorry for the delay guys. im just as anxious to see as ya'll are. it took him more than two weeks to just do one wheel. guess he is busy.

anyway, here is one in black. it is not assembled, just laid in place. keep in mind it would look a little better with all the bolts and a centercap. however, i'm not digging it. i dont hate it by any means. i've decided to have that wheel blasted and go silver all of them. its nothing different than they were factory but the scratches will me gone.

he says he will have them done 1st of next week. we shall see.

Took him a while the last 2 times I took something out there too . I used PowderPro in Murfreesboro the last couple times I had something to get done. He's fast, flawless finish, but he costs a little more. Normally 5 or 10 dollars higher on everything than the Gooch and you have the drive up there so fuel costs too.

I really like the black, but silver would look killer since its gonna match your car.:nice:

he's as nice as he can be, just a little slow at turning the work out i suppose. i hope things turn out the way i want from him. if not, good info to know about that place in the boro

Lol I know. I've went out there before ready to let him have it for taking too long, but then you get there and he comes out very apologetic and is nice as can be. It would be like yelling at your grandpa, you just can't be mad at him.

I like these wheels but i feel that you should have left them silver. Gloss black cheapens them and makes them look like lesser aftermarket knockoff stuff.

He said in the OP he was getting them recoated since one had some minor issues anyway. Also Simmmons wheels were available in polished, silver, dark grey, black, and gold so gloss black was a factory color not a knock off color. Real Simmons are a painted wheel and custom coloring was an option so you could run across a set of red, green, or any other color if thats what the original buyer wanted.

this is exactly the way i feel. i get annnoyed he's so far behind with them yet when i see him, how can i be a jerk?

wheels are suppose to be done by late friday evening...

when i say done i mean with powdercoat. still have to assemble them, silicone them and mount & balance tires.

i really hope he done a good job on these.
