Hey guys, first video ive done so bare with me hehe, may have to turn up the volume a bit to hear me. This is a 2004 Mustang GT, i found a fairly decent way of installing 2 switches into the center console via the coin holder slot. No drilling or permanent damage done very easy to install back the coin holder incase you change your mind or sell the car. Ofcourse it isnt perfect, you can see a bit of the ring, keep in mind this wasnt an official install, merely a test to see how they would fit, i may end up griding a little bit more and see if i can fit them flush side by side no overallaping, maybe i can just trim the swith portion, ill let you guys know what i decide to do. These switches are being installed so i can have a main power kill for my pioneer insdash DVD, also the brake bypass switch. I wont have the radio for a couple more weeks. You can install them to use nitrous or what ever else you may need them for, they do make an actual factory fit switch that is either for convertible top, fog lights, or Steeda has one that is specifically for nitrous. None of these appealed to me, because i needed 2 seperate switches, and those factory fit replacements cost more like 3 times what i payed for both of those switches. These switches can be bought at any auto parts store around 7 bucks at O'reilys, they have blue, red, and green, maybe a white. Thanks for watching! Video courtesy of my Iphone :)

Hey, so the video didnt really show the switches too well and they were all crooked, here is a picture. They dont look that bad, but i will probably end up grinding a bit more off the back end of the hole, and take the rest of the material off of the switches to get them to mount in the middle flush instead of overlapping like that. Ill get a picture when all said and done. Also, sure i could have just drilled 2 random holes in the center console but 1. My dad might flip on me since he payed for part of the car and is paying the insurance, and 2. who in the world uses the coin holder anyways? haha isnt that why we have a "removable coin container" ? i mean smaller drink reducer lol

Yeah I actually did this with the exact same switches when I bought the car 2 years ago. You have to grind off the plastic more so they mount flush. It takes some patience but you can do it so that they sit inside the coin mount flush and don't overlap each other.

heres how i did my subwoofer switch. jus knocked out the slots for the coins.

Looks sweet man, what year is your car to have both of those slots like that? Also what kind of system you running in there? I think i am changing my mind on going with any performance mods, this car stock is more power than i need now anyways haha, too dangerous for me to drive any faster than what it is. I built a custom system for my truck awhile back featuring Audioque products i was very impressed at the bump per buck. I may be considering doing some fiberglass work here for the new ride, cause i really would like to retain the functionality of the spare tire ect... Just finished installing my new headunit the AVH 3200DVD from pioneer so far its awesome. I think a little bit more bass will be sweet for those movies that im watching hehe :) Also considering integrating this PS2 slim that i go lying around, i dont know why its not like i will be playing it all the time but it would def. be a conversation starter! haha
