6 1/2" component speakers...anyone installed?

I was looking to replace my mach sound system with some after market speakers. Searching through crutchfield I've found a set of 6 1/2" component speakers and they require some modding for the installation.

I was just curious of anyone on here has gone a similiar route and what the extent of the modding was.
