mabye i got a chance, he bought the 6 speed stick, he hasent drove a stick for like 20 years, ill try to run him asap before he masters his 6 speed,

I have to agree, the cad should destroy a mildly modded 5.0, I saw one run on the tv show "pass time" it was a young dude driving it (maybe 19, completely stock cad) he had a pretty decent launch, the car ran very strong, I'm racking my brain trying to remember what he ran, I think it was high 11's, 11:89 or something like that, and on just street tires, put some drag radials on, cut the 60 foot down and I'd bet it would run closer to 11:40's-11:50's.

go to the track and race him. chances are he'll screw up on the launch, screw up on shifting, or spin the tires.. or he wont and beat a car thats less than 1/2 the price of his car and N/A. congrats to him. anything can happen though.

Yeah, I think unless he gets two flats immediately after launching (do they have run flats???)...you MIGHT only get beat by about 4 or 5 car lengths.
The CTS-V coupes are sexy as hell and although I haven't seen real 1/4 mile tests yet, I would think it to be a low 12 second car with a monkey driving it.

Love the stangs and all, but good luck with that one!

My neighbor has that Caddy and we ran em a few times (we live out in the country) and I never came close to beating him. He steadily pulled away from me until my ego couldn't take it anymore, lol. Only thing I could say is, at least I paid 30K less!!! Seriously, that Caddy is sweeeet!!!

they are i guess, not gonna bug him.

well you can beat him depending on his run if you took it to the track and did the 1/4 mile. It would require some decent mods. Heres what evo did with there auto 5.0, it is a couple thousand dollars in mods though. Took this from there vid on youtube
