I think that would depend mainly on two things....

1. Whether the pressure plate you're running is heavy

2. Does this thing have a tendancy to leak (like so many other failed attempts) or does it have a long service life

I looked into this a while back

But my parts were different. I was looking intO using a fox thunderbird hydraulic clutch pedal setup and a slave cylinder unit that bolts on side of t5 and activates the stock clutch fork and tob. The slave cylinder was One used by classic guys on their 65 mustangs with t5 swaps. Hydraulic conversions are poPular on those cars due to the demographic of peoPle who drive them (read: older people with joint issues)

I'll see if I can find more info, but it was cheaper than that kit. Sone t bird parts and a cylinder and good to go

I looked into it because I had knee surgery and have a bad left leg, however inrehabbed it to the point where I run a heavy cable clutch with no issue....so I no longer had a need

That is pretty neat but I'm with a few of the other guys, I prefer the simplicity and adjustability/feel of the mechanical cable setup.

I agree to a point. What I'm absolutely sick of is having to squeeze my hands in to get to the firewall adjuster when the clutch starts slipping from wear. Auto-adjust = TehPoop :nice: Fox body cable auto-adjust = TehLooz :notnice: and was deleted years ago.

...and I REALLY like the notion of city driving with a clutch pedal that is feather light. If I ran a track only car... I wouldn't care.

Hydraulic clutches lose a lot of the "feel" of a cable clutch. They are popular on big bikes now, but pretty much everyone who doesn't ride a Goldwing complains about the lack of proper feedback.

With that said, it is an excellent option if you have knee/leg problems.

You really have to adjust yours that often? Since I installed the firewall adjuster on mine I've adjusted it exactly one time

My daily driver is a 6spd with hyd clutch of course, it's easy but sometimes it feels like I'm playing a video game it's just not the same connected feeling. This is fine for a pedestrian vehicle such as my maxima but I definitely want the stang to have the same connected feeling.

It's not all THAT often but with my intake setup, it's a real PITA. I'd prefer to not have to do it... and to be honest... I've screwed it up a time or two and got confuzeled about whether I needed to screw the adjuster in or out to allow the pressure plate to engage fully (due to wear). I dunno... some sort of clutch adjuster dislexia I have going or something. :p

I'm with ya in this totally. To be truthful I don't think my clutch is all that stiff and hard to push in, must be alot of limp legged people around

Well if you pull up your dress redfoxGT might stop trying to see me naked
