I just picked one up as a late xmas gift with some money I received at xmas. I picked up the Jr as other than the temp thing in the plus I did not see a big enough issue to spend twice as much.

I plan on using this to keep the battery hooked up as prior I would undo the battery every time I put the 94 in the garage as it might be 1 day or 1 month before its out/started again.

Everything is charging and working correctly but how is it going for those who have used these for the longer term? BTW this is on a red top Optima battery.

I did not put in tech as I dont see this being a mustang tech thing...more general hows it working for you thing.

Have one each on the car, bike , tractor...been using them for years with no issues.

Have a Motorcraft in the Mustang going on its 7th yr...so I feel they work.

I'm old school I just start mine once in a while. I love to hear the exhaust so for me it works

After about 2 weeks my battery dies...I have been tracking down (slowly) and eliminating possible issues for the last 2yrs. I have built a side loaded electrical system to move aftermarket items (n2o, bottle warmer, gauges, and line lock) to its own power system/fuse block that only has power at KO. I need to hook up the volt meter and see were I am and pull fuses until I find the excessive draw. I think it may be one of the amps in the stereo system so I plan on pulling the main battery power to the system first...it just been easier to undo the battery in the meantime.

I have always wanted a trickle charger with quick disconnect and the BT fits that bill. Its just such a small little deal I wondered how they hold up.

i have something similar from sears that has a trickle mode and a jumpstart mode. i should hook it up to the stang on trickle mode, but it is not currently hooked up :notnice:

i also use a quick disconnect thing similar to this:
