shifter recommendation

I think MGW would probably be the one that I would prefer but since everyone loves them I think it's gonna be pretty hard to find one used :(

S&B what other shifters have you had? I couldn't imagine a ebay brand shifter being even close to the main shifters that are used? Do you have a link to the one your talking about?

I'd really only go with Tri-Ax or MGW. I had the Tri-Ax on my '01 and it was great. I have the MGW on my '10 and it's also great. In the early 2000's, the only real options were Tri-Ax, Pro5.0, and Hurst. Everyone I knew got the Tri-Ax.

I've got the MGW on my '03 and love it, everyone's right, anything beats the stock shifter. The MGW is very firm and has good centering springs. Adjustability is amazing, you can put the shift knob exactly where you want it because of the up/down and side/side adjustments you can make.

I don't really have anything to compare it to though except for stock

I've had the Tri-Ax and MGW, currently with the tri-ax because it came with the car. I will be going back to the MGW. There is virtually no gear noise, the throws are shorter, the handle position is adjustable, the throws are smoother, I am sure there is something else. IMO MGW >> Tri-ax. Oh and they look great (even with the boot on).

Haha this thread was completely dead till it got a random bump for a different thread lol. I think I'm gonna end up getting a b&m ripper with a tri ax handle from a guy I think it should be pretty solid. Have any of you ran b&m?

I have an MGW in my 02 and absolutely LOVE it. I've only missed a gear because my clutch was out of adjustment. I especially like that it took somewhere around 5" out of the 1-2 throw, but doesn't have a stupid short shaft like some of the Pro 5.0s I've seen.
