Minimum Idle W/ E Cam Set?

this is just my opinion. If you arent having an issue with it stalling out, it should be fine. I have the F303 and mine idles around 800+-25 rpm. I also have a 5 speed. How I was told to set my idle (with the TWEECER RT)was, once the engine is warm, unplug the IAC & the SPOUT conector. the car should barely run. say about 550 RPM. That is to set the screw on the throttle body. then you can input valves for the idle that you want & the EEC will do the rest with timing & the IAC once you plug them back in. I was told to avoid adjusting the throttle body screw to increase idle because if turned up to much the car could diesel when you go to shut it off. I like the sound at idle now but once I get my turbo install done, Im thinking of turning the idle up so I can gain more resolution in the middle & high range of the MAF curve. Im not a pro tuner or anything but, thats what I did.

That is the essence of how to do it the right way.:nice:

The same technique works without a TWEECER.

See the "Surging Idle Checklist for help with all your idle/stall problems. The first two posts contain all the updates to the fixes. At last count there were 24 possible causes and fixes] for surging idle/stall problems. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.

I am not having any idle issues now, I was just curious what would be the optimum minimum idle set (IAC disconnected). for my motor combo. I was told non stock 5.0's with good heads and a cam (TFS Twisted Wedge & E303) require a little more idle than stock.
