i have never had a problem with this car till the other day i drove it to work and back and parked it in from of my house....no problems! got up the next morning and went to go uptown and no power steering AT ALL!! so i parked it and opened the hood and the serpentine belt was off of it! i took it into napa and got the same exact belt as the one that was on the car. but it wil not fit like it should! i dont not have the " air pump" and doesnt look like anything has ever been hooked up either! but i cannot find a diagram or belt to fit it without that "air/smog pump". ive tried running the ac delete belt with the ac to get the slack out but that dont work either! i dotn know it they make a delete kit for it or not but every auto parts place around here cant help me out b.c all they have is with ac or without! nothing about the smog/air pump! HELP?!?!

I'm not sure what your question/problem is here.

It sounds as if you had a belt, it broke, you bought an OEM replacement but it's too long and you don't know what size belt you need and you don't know what the routing needs to be.

A diagram for your motor minus the smog pump pulley is not required. All you need to do is to look at the OEM routing and ensure that you route the new belt so that the accessories are all turning in the correct direction.

You get the belt size by running a piece of string or yarn through your pullies (including the idler pulley in the down/sprung position). Subtract 2 inches from the measured length of that string. Buy a 6 rib belt the length of that measurement you just got. Whola. UrDun

This will show you how to route it... I know this works on 87-93 should be same for 86
