Just did this a couple days ago, didn't even use a write up, its super easy.

Amazon.com: Dorman 615-175 Intake Manifold: Automotive

Cheapest one I found, and I had no problems with the installation. Comes with everything you need. Dorman makes very good products. Some people will say you will need the special fuel line disconnect tool, but we just pulled the fuel rail off to the side.

Biggest thing is cleaning the heads nicely. While you're there, put some dielectric grease on your coils, and use white lithium grease for your fuel injector o-rings, or replace them. I've always used the lithium grease method and have had no issues with leaks. Don't forget to use paper towels or something to plug up the intake ports when cleaning!

Here's a really good write up. I had to change my all plastic PI intake to newer style PI intake out in October and followed it without any problems.

sorry for your mishap. good choice on going with the FRPP version. hopefully you will find everything you need in that writeup :nice:

I also suggest in addition to placing some wadded up paper towels in the intake ports, to vacuuming the intake ports out before you put everything back together (with a shop vac).

Also suggest replacing the fuel injector o-rings.

The swap isn't hard, just a little time consuming.

So did the swap over the weekend. Turned out great except Summit sent me the wrong gaskets? one side fit perfect and the other didnt and no parts store had the gasket so i had to use the old one. I must have the cleanest engine bay around right now i cleaned everything while reassembling. lol So i got a new intake, oil change, new antifreeze, all my gauges working properly, im ready for cruisin!!

The gaskets are re-useable as long as they haven't been torn/damaged on removal.

If I recall correctly, the gaskets were the same for each side? May be wrong on that, but it looked that way to me.

Glad to hear you got it done.
