Hey everyone I am a new member and I wanted to say Hi before I ask a question. I'm looking to replace the Cam in my GT. First I wanted to Keep the Factory heads for now and factory intake for now. I wanted to start with the Cam and work my way out as money allows. (New Baby in the house) Right now I have a H-Pipe, American thunder Flows and Ford Racing shirties on the vehicle with 3:55 gears in the rear. I wanted to get a E303 or B303 cam but read Horror stores on them that sometimes they can never set the stall at lights. Im trying to get that sound out the car thats hard to explain kinad of like that old muscle car sound I guess it sounds like a erratic idle. I called the three cam companies and I was wondering if anyone has any info on these:
Comp Cam - 35-324-8, Lunati - 51014LUN, Crane Cams - 444221. I was told that the problem wit the E303 was that the Lobe seperation was cut on a 110 but all these are cut on a 112? One comapny said to change the rockers (Because the factory rockers are supposed to be 1.6 but actually 1.45) to 1.6 the other two said that the factory rockers are indeed 1.6. Any help would be great...

Here is two youtube videos of the sound Im trying to get to.

One of my first mods was to change the cam too. when I bought the car, it had the B303. Like you, I like that cool muscle car sound. Most guys will propbably tell ya to get a custom cam but, for me, I wanted to keep it simple. I looked up cams for computer controled cars on summits site. I found that the F303 was about the biggest ford racing had that didnt require you to mod the pistons & it had the RPM range I wanted. For me, that stalling at red lights problem wasnt the cam. It was a dirty IAC. The F303 has worked well for me on the street & at the track. It will give you that "muscle car" idle sound too.

me personally...i wouldnt change the cam if your going to stick with the stock heads and intake... you can throw 1.7 rr on a stock cam. the stock cam actually will perform nicely. but if your really wanting a nice lope... the e303 does have a nice idle but prepare to lose low end performance... the TFS1 is a good choice and it will perform well as well...good luck. best thing to do is not wait for repeated advice on here. and just google the hell out of "best cam for stock heads" or "5.0 mustang cams" and read thread after thread in corral and here. :nice:

I was looking at the CJpony parts and they have Trick Flow Lits what one would be more fitting for me the "350 HP" or "360 HP" set up? I know its 10 HP but what else is really the difference?
