Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knew if a 5.0 vortech kit would fit on a 66 with a serpentine belt setup from an 89 5.0? I clearly know that the pipe to the throttle body would not work as this will be a blowthrough setup. I understand how to do blowthrough and the fuel system the question is more if the kit would fit or not in the engine bay.
ive seen a few used kits that might be worth piecing together.

Secondly would or be possible to make the 5.0 ac system and power steering work with a classic power steering and a modified original a/c under dash unit? I need to build up the whole a/c system anyways because I only have the under dash unit. Thanks alot all for your opinions !!

I have been told by the people at mustang depot that it will fit. I have also seen a few posts about having to modify the alternator bracket so that the alternator will clear the frame rail brace where the strut rod attaches. People have gotten it to work though.

hey thanks alot guys for the responces.. looks like i might be trying to pick up the kit. i got about twice back on my taxes than what i expected so figured might as well blow half and put the other half into the house fund! haha thanks again. at least i know it can be done without TOO many issues :D
now does anybody know about a/c and power steering hooking up to an original style unit? the kit does allow use of both so i figured if i can work it into my original steering and my eventual a/c it would be perfect!
 
The supercharger kit will fit fine. If you go to an 8 rib pulley setup, the room will be very limited with the serpentine belt system.
The A/C compressor will require new hoses to mate with your system. And the same thing applies for the stock Fox power steer pump (there are two different p.s. pumps for the Fox, that require different hoses, so make sure you know which one you have).
both can be overcome by going to a competent hydraulic hose shop, and A/C shop.
Here's what it looks like with the engine slid back 5/8", and a 3" thick radiator.
If you aren't concerned with a "stock" appearance, you can slide the radiator forward a bit by cutting out the radiator support.
The supercharger and A/C will require a much better/larger radiator than the stock 19" wide radiator. I have a 24" radiator for a '68 big block car in here.
I'd also recommend using an air dam under the front cross member, to increase the vacuum under the engine compartment. This will help evacuate the hot air from the engine compartment.
