Hi, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I just bought a 2008 Mustang GT Deluxe. Only 20,000 on the ticker. Got a really awesome deal that I couldnt pass up. Car looks brand new. It already had a JBA catback, 4.10 gears, and a hurst shifter. I just ordered a C&L Racer intake with the SCT X3 Tuner. Will probably install it this Friday. The reviews on this mod are very good so I'm hoping it will make a big difference. I was wondering if anyone out there could tell me if these mods will get me 12's in the 1/4? Anybody have a possible 0-60 time? Really would appreciate any input. Thanks

Well also depends on the altitude of the track your going to, if you live in Colorado or something don't be expecting anything more then high 13s, if your by the coast you could do high 12s if you don't mess up your shifts and the launch. Would recommend some drag radials to help with the start.

Awesome that's what I wanted to hear. What about 0-60 times? Is the the C&L intake and the SCT tuner going to make a big difference like everybody claims? Really appreciate everyone's input.

Hey d98gt I really appreciate the offer but I'm more central and about four hours from your location. I'm having a hard time believing I would only be low 13's. I hear people talking on the forums how they ran low 13's with a stock 2008 GT with some sticky tires.

I know that my 06 GT (granted it was an auto) had a few mods on it and still went 13.2

The thing about times that are seen on the forums is you don't know the conditions of the run. For example; I ran a 11.88 with the ONLY changes on my car being a 93 octane tune with an SCT programmer and some et streets on 17" bullitt rims. I did this in PERFECT air that had a negative DA and the car hooked hard. Does every 2011 run 11s with only 1 change---I think not. It's unfair for someone to see my time and expect it to be the case for them if they lack the seat time or the perfect conditions that I had.

I suggest you get some seat time and go out on some sticky tires; times will improve with more seat time in the car.

I'll probably never take my car out to the track to be perfectly honest. Just wanted to get an estimate. Hey d98gt, did the SCT tuner really make a difference in your car. I'm installing a C&L intake and a SCT x3 from Brenspeed on Friday.

If you never plan on going to the track, I wouldn't worry about what the car could run since you'll never have any proof to back it up. It's like the guys who do a bunch of bolt on's and say their car makes 350RWHP, but it's never been on a dyno and their just guessing. 9 times out of 10, they're way over estimating. And the same could be said for track times. Unless YOU take the car to the track, or have somebody else, and have a slip saying "this car ran this time", I wouldn't worry about it...

If you never been to the track and dont know the lights waterbox who leaves first how to lawnch the car with people are heating there tires and reving there cars! You will be lost you will be looking at 14's with better tires and a few trips to the track put in some race gas you will be around low 13's before they send you home for no rolebar. We all go through it some point in time good luck man!!
