hey guys i have a 92 mustang convertible with a svo (2.3t) swap. When i first get in the car and go to start it the first time it cranks it shuts right off, and the second time i crank it it starts and runs a little choppy. After it gets warmed up it isnt as choppy at an idle. Any thoughts? All help is appreciated. thanks

possible IAC (Idle Air Control Valve) going bad. sometimes you can remove them, clean the crap out of them and they work fine. always a good idea to kill the computer's memory and let it relearn the settings too.

thanks for the help. i cleaned the Idle Air Control Valve and it helped it run better but it still occasionally bogs down and still shuts off after first start. anymore suggestions? thanks

maybe the throttle position sensor is out of adjustment? I assume that the previous owner swapped in the TC computer?

Maybe a bump up in the idle throttle stop would help?

also do you know what injectors you have in it? if you have the stock non turbo - that could be the problem....just throwing ideas out there..

remove the pass kick panel and tell us what the ECU sticker states, Also check your timing, remove the spout on the tfi harness to lock your timing, with the timing gun you should see 10* (factory setting). What are the outside temps when you try to start the car?
