Need help with my 2010 GT

Hey guys,

I've had my '10 GT for over a year now and I've noticed some strange behavior with it. Its an automatic and every once in a while when I'm at a stoplight or a stop sign, the car will stall for no apparent reason. This has generally only happened in below 60 weather. Is this something that could be fixed with a tune or do i need to take it into a shop??

Isnt the car still under full waranty????? Let Ford fix it.

Ford service may have a hard time duplicating the issue. The computer has a short memory of storing malfunctions. If you do take it in ask if they can install a recording device that you can activate when it does stall.

Stalling Issues

I had the same issue...I found that my Cold Air Intake tube wasn't all the way attached. I surmise that the Car wash air blast combined with a loose band clamp caused it to sit right up to the throttle body. It was actually blown off! I did not clamp it very tight thinking it would deform the plastic air inlet tube. reattached and tightened it and I've been All Good ever since.

Yeah, I would check for a vac leak, but honestly, let Ford chase the gremlin if you still have a warranty. While a tune will help you in the performance department, if your car is stock and stalling, odds are it will do the same and potentially more damage with a tune on it.

Does it buck a little bit while you're coming to a stop? My parents had a 2003 Explorer do that (same transmission). It happened in cool weather when it was partially warmed up. The dealer re-flashed the computer, and that solved the problem.

Coyote, yes it does buck a very small amount.
