Build Thread "Rising from Ashes" 94 Cobra build thread

Finally caught up to where the car sits today.

Started sanding down the rear bumper

Turns out it is a mystic rear bumper, seems like a shame to sand off such expensive paint.

Rolled the fender lips, no worries about cracking any paint

Powdercoated the bumper bar...why not?

Reclocked the fan so my wires can come in from the bottom and poured a little paint on it.

Next up, time to tackle the engine bay.

Thanks Mark and good eye.

I hesitated to post pics of the replacement GT since this is in the 94-95 forums but I guess since I posted some of the old one, I may as well.

Got the car in September of last year thanks to my good friend, Jason, who actually found it. I almost bought a Camaro when I was in high school because I wanted a t-top car so bad, but lucky for me, I came to my senses and ending up with the 88 GT that I lost in the fire. So with a second chance....

This is where I got the Recaro seat idea for my 94 build

Ive had the car for about 6 months and have only done some paint work, wetsand and buff and minor stuff. The car already had a full Maximum Motorsports suspension under it. So Ive really just enjoyed driving it.

The fox is just :jaw:, congrats on the find. Yeah, you mentioned you loved the full Maximum Motorsports suspension under your fox, which has helped influence your Sn95 build. Keep up the good work!

^^^^^^^
Thanks guys, really appreciate it.

I too have a soft spot for the 94-95's

Started working on the engine bay

Went ahead and mocked up the 4 bolt MM caster camber plates and made my holes.

Then started making some plates to fill holes. Plasma cutters make life so much easier.

Also started prepping for some welding.

I had to get on a side job that I got in. Mainly took the job because I finally found the wheels I always wanted for the 94 Cobra and in order to be able to afford them....I need to do some side work.

So in a few days, I will be updating this with my new wheels, but progress on the 94 will have to stop for a couple of weeks.

In the mean time I will be putting full floor pans, trunk pans, and a quarter in this rust bucket. May also be media blasting this thing as well. We'll see?
