Convertible back glass?

ive seen those plastic windows turn yellow in one summer, they are junk. Ive also heard of them shattering in the winter when someone put the top back to do some maintenance.

Don't do it. I had one on an old convertible of mine and it was awful. Visibility was low in daylight, let alone night or if it wasn't perfectly clean. Spend the extra $60 or whatever, it's worth way more.

I bought a top with a tinted plastic window and had no issues with it, but I live in florida and have no real cold weather to speak of. I had the car for two years before I sold it.

i would put a new back glass in with the new top, the fabric around the glass will fade a little with time and not match the rest of the top.

Stay with the glass. In 1995 I had the white vinyl top on my 86 GT convert replaced with gray a BMW material top and the installer covered the area below the original glass with an extra piece of gray material and bonded the area right below the glass with a caulk type material. To this day you can't tell that the glass is from the original roof.
