water pump gasket

I heard u do not need silicone on the fel pro water pump gaskets?? and if u are supposed to, do u silicone the plate to block gasket also??

When I put my engine together, the only RTV it saw was the front and rear of the lower intake. Everything else was installed dry and there's not a single leak (not even the infamous rear main).
