I bought a new master cylinder from Master Power Brakes and the ports are on the wrong side for my 68. I called them to get the right one and they stated that is the correct one and I would have to replumb new lines to the distribution block. Is this correct or is this some odd master cylinder they are trying to push off on me?

is this a dual reservoir MC? If so, the picture I saw on their site for a 68 car (manual disc/drum) says ports left. They sent you the wrong one if this info is correct. Make them do the right thing and send you the correct part.

Yes it is a dual m/c. I have the same picture you are talking about on their install instructions and they say its not availible anymore. What they sent is the only one they sell now according to their customer service rep.

Well, what I would do is make them send you new brake lines to make it connect to your original junction block/proportion valve (or what ever you have) or send your it back on their dime and ask for a 100% refund. They did not send you what you ordered.

If they do not send you new lines and they DO refund the total amount, go buy this at CobraAutomotive. It comes with the lines only and its a nice part.
