Speedometer Cable Clip

PPPuuussshhhh...

Know you know why the clip is never supposed to be removed. Pulling and pushing of the speedo cable is the proper way to remove it from the VSS sensor. It will pop in and pop out if it doesn't separate the cable housing from the metal end first.

I cut the clip out and then just used a small piece of steel wire to make a new clip once the cable is in there.

It works just fine, just make sure its tight so it won't slip out.
Simple fix.....

just put mine back in a couple days ago. i put the clip in before i put the cable in. then just shoved the cable in past the clip. it expands over the stop on the cable.

Cool

Thanks for all the responses, i kinda figured it was supose to be pushed in but that wasnt working either. I need a dam lift in my garage! I will try it again today and see if i can do it the right way. Not usually the way i like to do things but ill give it a shot. I have a bad back and the position i was in the other day working on it fn killed me. 2 days of pain, oh well. no pain no mustang!
