Burnout competition at a local car show. Open rear ends and 2.79 gears SUCK. Hence the 8.8 swap. :nice:

Exhaust is shorty headers, 2.5" x-pipe, and JBA system from x to tips.

Open headers

Rebuilt original 289 .30 over, stock heads- rebuilt and decked, Comp Cams 268H, Weiand intake, Holley 600 carb. C4 auto but planning on a T5 swap later on. It runs pretty well but will really open up with the 3.73's! It pulls on my bro's SVT Focus (which was about even with my 95 that was all stock but with 3.73's).

Beautiful!!! Love that color.

My first car was a 68GT Fastback, Highland Green with the Gold C-Stripe, 302, C4. The 67 vert I have now is still in the "in progress" stage. Bought it 8 years ago, towed it home, still haven't ever driven it. Haven't had time to work on it in over a year. Maybe some this summer, but definitely will get to work after FEB 2012, when I finish school.

Nice pics like that certainly motivate me to get back to work--probably would have more time if I'd finish my research paper instead of logging back onto StangNet 10 times/day. :)

Thanks!!! Post up pics of yours! Took me 10-11 years to restore mine... But we did a lot. Replace both quarters, tail light panel, fenders, hood, trunk lid, repainted underside, etc.

Pics come after I finish my papers. They're on the old computer, and I need to load them onto my web server so I can share them. No time for that now.

Unfortunately, I think I may have you beat in the "did a lot" department (definitely NOT bragging here--more showing what a glutton for punishment I am): Replaced front frame rails, floor pans from toe boards to rear seat, inner rockers, rear frame rail extensions, trunk floors, taillight panel, both fenders, one quarter (and wheel well). Basically the only original body parts are the windshield frame, the hood, the trunk lid, the doors, and the tunnel.

Then I started modding: Had to section the tunnel and revise the floors to fit my Recarro seats. Added a tunnel-mounted e-brake lever out of a 2000 Mustang. 8.8 rearend, Cobra discs at all 4 corners, new front suspension, springs, etc, T5 swap with cable clutch, 5.0 stroked to a 347.

Still need to: finish fabbing up the chassis stiffening, install exhaust, fuel lines, and wiring to fire off the engine. Need to plumb the brakes, and install the glass, top, and interior, then finish the body work (front R valance, re-do the hood scoop, install side scoops, fill, sand, paint).
