Hey guys!

Over here at TMI we are currently working on our reproduction seat upholstery for the 1994-98 & 1999-04 GT Mustang. Patterns are looking great, and we hope to come to market w/ them asap!

This is where i could use a hand. Does anyone have a list (or a site link) that would have the interior color options for the 94-04 Vinyl & leather offerings?

Any help you guys could send my way would be massively appreciated!!

Thanks,

I don't have a list, but figured I'd comment anyways. Are you planning on also selling seat foam as well as the upholstery? If not, I could see this as a great opportunity for your company to gain additional revenue. I'm sure I'm not the only SN-95 owner with worn out drivers seat foam. Might be something to consider. If the price was reasonable I'd buy new foam in and a drivers side seat upholstery.

We always allow custom color options, so if someone wanted to do a Fox material on a different seat , that would not be an issue :D

So no leads on interior colors eh?

This is what I am talking about. It was a stock color on 94-95 cars

Man that hurts my eyes!! Lol, I've heard about this interior but haven't ever seen one in person.

We are going to start with the standard vinyl/leather colors. But will eventually make our way into the cloths. (red vinyl is an option for now, we'll have to source that color cloth and see if it's even still available).

How much is your kit going to be? I've been thinking about re upholstering my front seats for a long time. was just going to break down and get it done next winter. but if its a lot cheaper to do myself....

THANK YOU!!!

I so lusted after your Fox body stuff I almost put Fox seats in my 2000...I hope you are going to have Mach 1 style seats? and you can you cut matching covers for a convertible rear?

oh, and I'm in the area too; I used to drive by your building once or twice a month until that client moved to Anaheim ;)

Whatever you do, just make sure they look factory. If you look at these seats in this Cobra, it's glaringly obvious that the driver's side has been recovered with an aftermarket cover, because the seams aren't stitched down into the foam. Note hoe the passenger side looks different (passenger side appears to be original):

To my understanding, this may have to do with the fact that the factory covers are supposedly glued to the seat foam, which is why I second N8 in making the foam as well (which I see you've said is a done deal).

EDIT: Are you also planning on making a '98 specific set that has vinyl rears (and I think the backside of the front seats' back portion is vinyl as well?)

When you get around to doing cloth seats, I can send you some samples of grey tweed from an Opal Grey interiored '96 Mustang.

To back up what puma1552 said, my rear covers at least were glued on to the foam and the foam was damaged in removing them. Unless there's a trick to getting them off without peeling some foam off too, were gonna need new foam, even if you're just switching from cloth to leather on otherwise good seats.

Thank you for finally making replacement covers available for us SN95 folks - I thought our generation of 'Stangs was going to be forgotten. There's a lot of these cars that just need new drivers side foam and upholstery to get the interior back into shape. Finding a good used driver seat is impossible these days and the replacement covers that are available are either cheesy looking generic vinyl covers or really expensive custom leather kits.

We were dead set on becoming 100% complete with our Classic Mustang line, then we finished our Fox Mustang line (kindly skipping the whole II generation :D) and now we're finally ready to tackle the SN95's !

Screamin - We do not sell direct to retail so i wouldn't have a price for you. We sell through our Authorized TMI Dealers, places like: Latemodel Restoration, CJ Pony Parts, National Parts Depot, Mustang Depot, Fox Mustang Restoration, The Mustang Shop Ca, and many many more. Just make sure to ask for TMI by name.

- Yessir. We plan on doing all of the short lived interiors as well. On that note, just picked up a Bullitt Interior :) We'll be producing full sets w/ the front bucket foams for both Coupe & Convertible.

Puma - We specialize in factory reproductions and get as close to OE as physically possible!! (check out our fox seat: http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-for...-oferrings/7457-1987-89-gt-lx-cloth-vinyl.jpg) As for the 1998 specific interior you're talking about, do you have a picture? what does it entail?

6T9 - That's a sharp looking interior! and yes, we do plan on offering as many of the rare optioned interiors as we can get our hands on!

Patman - Thanks you sir, may just have to take you up on that. Vinyl & Leather first, but we'll get the cloth rolling soon enough.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, when these are ready you can bet I'll post up images and detailed info! We should have the stock GT Buckets w/ foam available very soon! I'll keep you updated!!

Those short lived interiors might be your best sellers - some of those are the most distinctive styled seats and are more comfortable and supportive than the standard seats. I bet plenty of people would love to upgrade to Bullitt/Mach1 seats and especially '03/'04 Cobra seats - a foam and upholstery kit to upgrade your old frames to one of those would be fantastic. I ended up putting 2005+ seats in my '96 because the Cobra seats were getting farther and fewer between and more and more expensive for seats with ever more wear on them.
