So i go out to start the car and it started fine. Then i forgot something so i shut it off and ran inside to get what i forgot. Then i try to restart the car and all the stater solinoid relay (thingy on inner finder) does is click. No starter nothing.I have a new battery and the car has always started fine up untill this.Checked the connections on the soloinoid and they are all tight and clean,as well as the battery,I jumped the terminals on the starter and it kicked over.Any ideas???peace

Check to see if you have 12V going into the sol. when you go to crank. If you do see if you have 12V going out of it. If you don't, and you have an excessive voltage drop, you have a bad solenoid.

Used the search on here, and went out tapped on the starter and it started. So i guess the starter is going out?How much time do i have before it dosent work by tapping on it? peace
