MAF Conversion Q

Hey guys ive got the A9L and it came with an entire engine harness. So I hacked away and took out the mass air harness with 4 wires attached. 2 of them have the pins that directly plug into the plug for the EEC. but then there were 2. Theres a black and red (power and ground). Long story short. Ive read a couple how to's on the conversion and im a little confused. When you hook up the red and black wires do you actually cut the wire before the actually EEC plug and solder in the Red or Black wire from the Mass air plug or do you take the wire and piggy back them on the red and black currently connected? thanks guys

also say i do cut the red wire before the EEC plug what happens to the red wire that was connected?

You literally cut the harness up? Why not have just swapped it, or sold it for $100-150? All you need really is the MAF connector off a junkyard car and some wire.

Keep in mind, you still need to run some wires for the vss, fuel pump relay and swap some pins around.

no i cut the wrap off of it and I snipped the MAF plug out and pulled the wires with the pins. I read that and I understand now. you keep the red wire attached to the ECM but you cut the wrap off it and solder the red wire from the maf harness in. also i got the comuter for 150 and at this point i dont give a $hit about selling stuff im sick of it lol I just want this car done
