New Mustang owner, few questions.

Recently purchased an '07 Mustang that mainly has cosmetic mods from what I can tell. I'll be the first to admit, I'm not very mechanically minded, at all. Doing my best to learn, leaned alot here on these forums already.

First question is the guy I got it from says it has a Borla exhaust, I know the exhaust is aftermarket but is there a way for me to check the brand aside from finding a lift?

Second question is about the the suspension. The car looks lower than most stock Mustangs, very firm suspension, makes the car feel like I can take turns doing 50+. I know I can't obivously. Are all GT's that way? Anyway to check the suspension also? The rims are 17".

Many exhaust manufacturer's will usually stamp their name on the muffler somewhere. On my Borlas, 'Borla' is actually printed on top of each tip, about 2-3" back.

Sweet car though, love the wheels.

By the way, is that a police vehicle behind it? :)
 
Looks like the previous owner has personalized the car, cool look.
I would say its been lowered 1 inch. The springs have a
higher spring rate than stock. If the springs are any color but black
they are probably aftermarket.
 
That window accent is different from any I have seen. Looks like a few visual mods done good. Be careful with the go fast things.....you know....the guy that drives the other car in the pic might be watching...lol
 
I dig those louvers, sir. (I feel obliged to call you "sir," but you're used to that.) Thanks for serving! I'm sure you take alot of heat from other car guys, but you guys do make our roads (and towns) safer and more enjoyable.

Also, I thought at first your patrol car was a Charger, but upon closer inspection, I can't tell what it is. New Taurus?
 
Well, that's better than I would have expected out of an Impala. FWD, V6, I can't imagine it's ideal. Does it have any advantages over the CVPI? (I don't mean to get off topic, but I always wonder what officers think of their cars.)
 
The side window louvers are sweet...actually- never seen them before, ever. The spoiler, pretty sweet as well. Looks like the ones off the newer GT's - just a lot more depth to it.

Lets see a few more pictures.

And the Borla exhaust should say Borla on the tips, and in large writing on the bottom of each muffler. As for lowering springs, my Eibachs are black.

I checked the bottom of the mufflers, no writing, the top is too close to the bottom of the car to get a good view.
 
Just that the car is cheaper with cheaper parts, haha. Less power, less interrior room, less everything.

That sounds about right. I drove an '01 Impala for a little while. It was terrible. All the interior controls were goofing up, and the engine threw a rod at 143k. Such a piece of junk.
