Thats cool Jinx do you plan on showing or just taking the ride to check it out? Either way its should be a good time once again. Lets just hope for some good weather. Getting really tired of driving out there in the rain.

I'll have the 96 there. Cause remember I have "no excuse not to have a car there this year" lol

I'm a little confused though. What does it cost to just show the one day?

if thats true, don't look at the forecast. what do you do to get out of hotel rooms? It figures the first time in 6 years we've been to carlisle, and it'll be a mud bog.

Not holding my breath but it's not looking horrible yet.

The monsoon we had on Friday last year was f'ing ridiculous, I expect rain every year now, but that was insane. 8+ adults trying to keep two tents from blowing away is the sign of beautiful car show weather if you ask me. :D

Here is the "local" weather I use which is usually more accurate then weather.com.

Weather - WHTM abc27 -

It has been fairly dry here for the last week or so besides thunderstorms. Hopefully it will stay nice and all the mud here will dry up.

I usually go out to the show Friday mornings for a bit then head over to the dragstrip for the all FORD drag races that evening. Then on Saturday I meet up with my dad and brother and walk around the show all day. We will probably be in the parts swap area most of the time looking for stuff for my Dad's 69 coupe we are restoring.

i'm planning for rain. that storm last year SUCKED! i'm bringing ponchos, change of shoes, clothes. i'm debating on whether i should lug the extra engine block i have and the high tensile airline cable to tie the tent down this year!

I'll be there, but whether the car will be or not remains to be seen. It's been up on my lift ripped apart since March and the outlook isn't great at this point. I may be sporting the Z06...

Put a blue oval sticker over the vette emblem and see if they'll let you in! haha jk... glad to hear you're coming out :nice:

I'm having a hard time getting mine to idle well after swapping to the Fox TB, it needs a retune for the car to get along with it but it's running enough to drive to the show... although I might get single digit MPG's because it's running rich as hell for some reason...trying to work that out before the trip hopefully.

Cleaning the IAC is on the list for this weekend (it's a used IAC so it's very possible it's gunked up), I also found that one of my O2's was toast, so I'm putting in a new pair to start fresh.

I've been having tons of trouble getting this car running this winter, replaced countless things and it runs now, but doesn't want to idle perfectly (has the lovely idle surge). I've fouled 4 sets of plugs since November... on my 5th set now and bringing a spare set with me to Carlisle just in case, lol. We had it running pretty decent on Sunday, set the timing with the new dizzy and went to pull it outside for the first time this year, car stalls and I try to restart it...pull the plugs and all are fouled. Threw in a new set of plugs and nothing, not getting any spark and figure out the coil kicked the bucket (never buying an MSD coil again). Got a new screamin demon coil on it now, should be good to go for a shake down run before the trip to the show. I still have some things to do but none of them would stop me from going if I don't get to them.

Got a nice long weekend to work with thanks to Memorial day so I should have it all buttoned up and detailed, finally lol.

Cobra brakes from my old cobra are on and bled as of last night. I still have to get a battery, install my tail pipe tips, change the oil, and fire it up for the first time this year. The plan was to rebuild the brakes, paint the caliper brackets, and paint or polish the calipers... I accomplished none of that. I did manage to install at least the front SS brake lines that I have had for 2 years and I think this is the first time I completely bled the brake lines.

So does this mean the Canary is going to make it in time?

It's a good thing that it isn't this weekend. We had golfball size hail lastnight and calling for it again today. The whole town of carlisle is still out of power. Might have had a small tornado just outside of town on Trindle Road.

I think everyone is staying at residence inn. What time is everyone getting here? CJ Pony Parts has a cruise from their place to the show leaving at 9am Friday.
