Would 05-09 gt mustang side skirts fit 11-12 gt?

i have no clue i never had an 05-09 gt but i really dont like the black plastic side skirts on the new gt, im just trying to avoid the the whole sanding and prepping and painting the stock side skirts and i was just curious to see maybe the older ones fit

I have a 2010 and prefer the black. I had a 2007 that was body color.
The painted pick up stone chips, bugs, etc. really bad.
I also just prefer the black look. Many painted the body color pieces black. Was a common mod.
To each his or her own, I suppose.
Try takeoffparts.com and see if they have some.

The length is what you would have to worry about, go to a dealership and measure. I could actually measure mine if you want me to.

I personally really do not like the black plastic look on a car that is not black. Just like people whom get a chin spoiler and dont paint it. Yeah it could, COULD; get rock ships etc. But painted just looks much better, and a careful driver will do his best to avoid putting his car in a situation where it could get rock chips ;)

Go for the painted look, I can measure my side skirts for you, and get some close up pics, mounting wholes, positioning, etc. if you would like.

that would be awesome but i dont have my car yet so i cant really have a measurement for the 11-12 gt, unless someone with a new gt can measure theres

Dude, the flat black looks hot on a sterling grey metallic with the right supporting mods. And last I checked, all the original Mustangs that came with a chin spoiler (Mach, Boss) all had flat black chin spoilers, not body color. Only when the 05+ crowd got their hands on CDC's work did they start painting them en masse, and honestly, it makes it blend in so much that you lose part of the umph of a chin spoiler. It makes for a nice front end, but it looks much more Cervinis C500 new front clip than chin spoiler'd Mustang.

I hate old cars as well...so, them having unpainted parts makes me hate them even more. Poor ricer boys that buy a body kit and cant afford to paint it. That is all that comes to mind.

Anyway, no need for arguing, to each his own. I like the painted new look, some like the old school "muscle" look.

Was just giving my input, due to the fact that he wanted painted side skirts.

 just brought back memories of my 3rd Mustang, a 87 GT with a full smattering of Cervinis parts. Never got painted, got hit, got chopped up. Sure was embarrassing to be rolling with a 5 color car, especially when it had a fresh H/C/I'd motor in it, 5 lug swap, full suspension etc... but it looked like ass so it got no respect. Unpainted nice body parts FTL

Also- hating on older cars? Like as in a sweet ass 1970 Boss 429 doesn't get your heart pumping a little harder? You're missing out dude...

Something about old cars just...makes me feel gross. I don't know...its weird. Its old things I general I think.

I'm weird I guess.

Your 87 would have looked pretty damn clean if it was all one color although. And I usually dislike that model as well, but it looks/looked good.

Yeah, college got in the way of paint, and then New England's good old rust and corrosion pretty much spelled the end for that car. I ended up parting her out and had the body chopped up and taken away for scrap. I do miss that car, I had a hand in every single modification from the cam to the brakes to the gauges. One day I'm going to get my hands on another fox, a clean one hopefully, slap those body pieces on it and rebuild my old motor...302, GT40 intake, GT40P heads, E cam, 1.7 roller rockers, 75mm tb, CAI, pulleys, plenum spacer, MSD distributor, FRPP wires, equal length shorty headers, O/R prochamber, and mac flowpaths. Then do the suspension the way I had planned with big 5 lug brakes etc... That car sounded like cammed sex, definitely the meanest sounding of my mustangs, and that includes an 04 with an O/R prochamber and magnaflow side pipes. For all the creature comforts and refinements of the 2010 I now drive, there was something so raw and powerful about that car that I have never recaptured in a Mustang.
