Long time no speak, guys (even though half of you may have never even seen a post by me )! I just figured I'd post for the first time in awhile on here - I sold my 1995 Mustang GTS after about 2 years of ownership. By the end of June she'll have a 427w/TKO drivetrain, wreaking havoc at the tracks around here. :D

I was ready to pick up a nicer DD, and ended up picking up a 2003 Brickyard 350z Touring. I LOVE the Z to death, but I gotta say, I definitely miss the torque. Plus, with the Stang, my girlfriend would always want to drive everywhere with us in her Civic. Now with the Z, I haven't ridden shotgun in the Civic ever since.. :rlaugh:

Hope everyone's doing well, and is enjoying their Mustangs, especially if weather has been as nice in your parts as it is in mine! :nice:

Good to see you in here still - don't be a stranger. :)

Sorry to hear that you're out of stangland Jeff, but I'm happy that you have a ride you like. I think the Z's are nice looking cars. Post up some pics man. :nice:

I'll try and get some pics up ASAP. To be honest I haven't even taken any of the car, haha. Definitely loving the Z, but I'm keeping my eyes peeled... Let's just say I'm looking for a nice coupe to pop up locally to make a fun project out of :) I think I'd just do a mild (well maybe not so mild...) 347 into a clean coupe, and make her into a weekend track car just so I can have my track fix! :nice:

I was at the local dragstrip with a group of friends last weekend, and it was disheartening watching one of my friends run his 7.90 mid 80's S10 (1/8th mile, by the way :rlaugh:), but it was still awesome to see the domestic V8 crowd still owning the track for the most part. :flag: Can't wait to get back into that side of the car scene!

You'll miss it trust me. I've owned an 85GT, 90LX, 94GT, 06GT and been jonesin for a project for a few years now. I've tinkered with non-Mustangs and its not the same. Green94 5.0 and I just picked up a 1992GT and can't wait to get it into the garage tomorrow. We've got a ton of parts and in a few months we should be pulling wheelies. The Z is cool but it's a pretty penny to soup it up. Don't know about you but I can't keep anything stock.

Believe it or not, I'm perfectly ok with stock on this car! Mainly because it lacks torque! :rlaugh: FI is really the only REAL mod you can do to a Z, and it's very pricey, for very unimpressive gains. It's an AWESOME DD, and I absolutely love the car. It's got the anniversary edition rims with brand new OEM Potenzas wrapped around them, rides great (definitely a sporty ride), and only has a short throw from the track edition of the Z put in it. I love having the nice leather interior, Bose sound system, etc, but it's FAR from a Mustang. :( I still miss the sound on startup, that awesome sound at 3k from the Flows, you name it.

Finally got around to snapping a couple pictures of the car at work last night. It was a nasty day out, so I can't wait for the car to be buffed/polished/etc and get some sickkk daytime shots in!

There she issss!

I think it's sharp and it's gotta be a fun DD. :nice:
Thanks! It's definitely a smooth ass ride, that's for sure. I'm already getting bit by the bug, and possibly looking into a rear-mount turbo system for this, but my main goal is in a few years to pick up a clean coupe, and throw a single turbo setup onto a 383... :D I miss the hell out of that Mustang sound, and the torque!

Nice! I really like the color, I bet it has some awesome effects in bright sun. I've always been intrigued by the new Zs; I haven't driven one, but they look like they could be a great car to drive.

FWIW, I bought my 95 as a DD, so I could focus my mod bug on the 67. It doesn't work. You'll mod whatever you're driving. Just surrender....

I'd tell anyone who hasn't already to drive one if you ever get the chance. :nice: Call it blasphemy, but it's an incredible car to drive. If you can get over the 'sports car ride' that it has (bumps, some rattles, etc), you'll love it to death just like every owner I've come across so far. Just be aware that it's NOTHING like a Mustang. :( I honestly am just waiting for an excuse to jump on a torquey v8 that pops up locally sooner or later.

Aww :( well im in the middle of selling my talon and i bought a 99 ford f250 power stroke and im loving it stock :) Sad to see my gts twin go but i understand the want for something stock and easy to drive :D Here is what im into now ;p

How's your GTS been running, Dizzy?? I was always jealous of your times, that's for sure! :nice: That F250 is gorgeous! I LOVE the somewhat older Powerstrokes. Needs some more tire :D!! Four wheeler looks great too, you seem to be enjoying the summer months too!

By the way guys, once my old GTS is loaded with the 427w/TKO drive train, Centerlines, and a nice new paintjob, I'll be sure and post some pictures. The car just got stripped out a few days ago, and the work has begun on it. :nice:

I can't stand the new 370Z for two reasons. One, it looks like a geometry experiment. And two, the 370Z is slower than the old twin turbo 300Z. Cars should get faster and better over time, not be a weak reminder of how good things were when they were at their peak.

The 370's are definitely a love or hate kinda car. Personally I LOVE the look, but prefer the less-aggressive look of my 350. The old TT 300's weren't all that crazy in terms of stock. I beat one that a friend had when it was bone stock with my 5.0. Granted I outdrove him at the track, but still, even in terms of top end it wasn't all that impressive. After a tune, fuel system upgrade, fresh turbos, and an overall 500whp Z, that thing was downright nasty! :nice:
