'79 Twin turbo'd 5.4L IRS coupe on ebay

Agreed on the lip, lovers, and wing. Looks badass otherwise. Been having a DOHC Fox nagging at my brain for the last couple of weeks. Too bad it will be years before I could make it happen.

That car is local to me and it's been for sale for months now. The price tag is scaring people away, I think. Building a car like that is not a money making endeavor, that's for sure. I've been tempted to go see it just for the hell of it, though.

For the amount of money in it, why the hell would you leave the back seat looking so cheap? Also, I wonder why they relocated the door handles on the inside, and blocked off the old holes. Doesnt look like they interfered with the dash, and now the door panel looks funky. I bet that car has more than a few gremlins.

It's overall not a bad car...the louvers are gawdy as hell. The other things include the 4 6x9's in the RSD and the coolant overflow tank right next to the hot side of the drivers side turbo. Otherwise not a bad car. Wasn't it a magazine feature at some point? (probably says in ad just to lazy to look)

Aside from the chin splitter, louvers and spoiler....What's got me scratching my head is the shaker, er, non-shaker scoop.... if he liked the look of the scoop, why not just attach it to the hood if it's not functional?

This aside, there are some touches that made me smile. Having had one of the origional Machs, seeing the origional style lettering on the decklid was a sweet flashback! I loved my Mach! Miss it...:(

Who sticks 4 6X9s out to display like its something cool? It looks like something people did in the mid 80s. It looks like the shaker is functionable but I never gave the newer machs a second look. They just wasnt my cup of tea.

A functionable shaker scoop directs the air into the engine....not ONTO the engine. This thing has twin turbos with air cleaners on the cold side.

Actually, I think that is where the handles are on a 79. I think those panels are from a later year and thats where ford put the handles then.

Yup. I had a 79. handles were down at the bottom. Drove it a long time, got an 84 and couldn't find the handles in the dark!
