so i think i got my mind made up on trickflow 170s. i like the fact they will bolt right up and be effective. now the next question is what i should be paying for a set. think late model resto has em for 1299 with upgraded springs.

im thinking i should get 24lb injectors and a bigger maf and fuel pump to go along with it? i am toying with the idea of a 8-10 psi paxton later on...or a 100-150 shot o juice.

TFS 170's OR AFR 165's are excellent right out of the box. The GT40X heads won't make as much power. Although with a good combo their fine. On my 94GT on the stock block with Crower Cam, Edelbrock Intake I made 291HP / 312TQ at the wheels. With AFR's or TFS it would have been over 300+ easily. Used these heads with a Vortech and made 455HP. Again would have been closer to 500 with the other heads. I'm running them again in my 92GT, they should be on this weekend. We are running this combo with 30lb injectors, RPM intake, 80MM MAF, 70MM TB, TFS Stage I cam and tuning it all with the twEECer. The twEECer has made our life easier. We can calibrate the MAF without sending it back to the manufacture, dial in the fuel and timing without messing with distributor or fuel regulator. Can do it all right from the laptop in the garage.

if i can put down low to mid 300s n/a with my current intake and cam with the tfs heads on my 306 i will be really happy. ill probably have to wait some time before i can afford to add a blower or nitrous and land mid 400 to 500 i got a real nasty fox. but im thinking before boost i should get a beefier trans in there...
