I love that shifter. (handle anyway, not sure what shifter you are running) I dont envy you right now with all that body work, but I will hate you when the car is done.

Its a Roush...Reminds me of the old shifter handles in the 60's muscle cars, I like it because you never have to reach for a gear. The only down side is the finish, so I'm going to powdercoat it Black.

I know this is going to come out gorgeous! Keep up the great work!
Thanks! I appreciate the motivation

Looking Great Kevin !!
Thanks!

Still working on the engine bay. Filled all the holes just to punch new ones.

Well no Mustang progress to report. Been busy finishing up paint on a motorcycle project for a local guy. The bike had been wrecked so most of these plastics had to be welded and body lines recreated. I thought the color turned out good. Its viper blue.

Now I can get this one out the door and back to the Mustang.

Wow, that's some amazing paint work. I'd love to be able to do that kind of paint work on my Mustang.

Kurt

Thanks!

Your mustang should be
That color!!!

I would think about it but its just too close to the color of the one I lost. I may do an old 67 or 8 fastback or fox body coupe in that color...just not another sn95

Do the ghost flames tinted with your old color. Also, might have missed it, but what are you doing with factory wing? I know you said you were using your old one.

Good ideas...We'll just have to see when it comes time to start pouring paint. I'm so far away from that point, I'm trying not to think too much about it. I'm now painting a 69 Shelby GT500 for a guy which will take me at least six months to finish.

The original Cobra spoiler...I prepped for primer then decided on my old one so its sitting in my Mustang parts warehouse, I mean my attic.:nonono:

I keep coming back to this thread and looking back at the last couple pages for 2 reasons...

1. I REALLY wish I had a garage to tear mine down in.
2. Wanting moar progress pic/info!!!!!

Keep the great work coming man!!

Thanks man!
A good garage or garages are a must for this. I can easily fill a 3 bay garage with car, parts and work space when doing a project like this.

I have just been sanding, shaping and sanding some more on the engine bay. Just got another round of epoxy primer on. I hesitated to post pics since its hard to see the detail in pics and I don't want to bore people. It just takes a lot of hours to get this engine bay looking like I want.

wow, what an incredible build. I'm stunned by your attention to detail and ability to pick yourself up from that terrible loss and move forward to create something better. I would love to learn how to do all of that!

Thanks man and I appreciate you tuning in.

Looking damn good man! Question....how come you didn't shave down the firewall??
I wanted to following the original body lines on this one as much as possible. Just smoothing and filling the holes. I have shaved the firewall on some other projects and it just didn't turn out like I would have thought.

Its looking amazing keep up the good work cant wait to see it done.
Thanks!

I'm working on the rear end. Finished gutting it and will be blasting and powdercoating in the next week.
