Which reducers??

If you have 2.5 ID pipe, I would think you would want a reducer that is 2.5 OD on the outlet side. that way the OD of the reducer would fit inside the ID of your pipes. if the reducer had an OD of 2.25 or less, I would think it would be sloppy loose. I'm no expert though. I would get the reducer welded to the pipe once you get it clamped in place. Mine leaked when I just had clamps.
 
If you want them to be slip fit so you can use clamps, you need to have an exhaust shop expand the ends of your midpipe so the 2.5" reducers will fit. 2.25" reducers are too small. Personally, I'd just have them welded on.
