well last night i took this girl to the movies and she did 3 "No-No's" in the Mustang book.

#1 Almost sparked up a Ciggarette before i grabbed the Cigarette out of her hand a through it out the window and took her lighter.

#2 Slammed my door twice after i told her not to do it.

#3 Slammed the Deck Lid

....in the middle of the movie i was still so pissed about my door being slammed and she not caring for my car that i just got up and left.

The chick was cool other wise...but my stang comes before Hoes:hail2:

haha you sir are a real man

I hate it when people slam my doors. I usually shut my door by the weatherstripping or push it shut by the part between the door handle and the weatherstripping.

BUT what really gets me going is when they decide to hop up and sit on my hood/fender. And HOP up and land on it. That gets me REEAALLLYYY angry. My previous mustang had a LONG scratch down the hood from a girl who decided to slide down the hood, I really liked her at the time, but still chewed her ass over it. Only God himself can help people when they do that crap to my current Mustang

nobody has really given my doors a viscious enough slam where i give a damn. but when that day comes, rest assure. i will make them put their hand there and slam it a second time.

Don't Slam My Car Doors

I wanted to post to thank everyone who posted about
slamming car doors. I now have the nerve to avoid
having a door slammer in my car.

My neighbors occasionally ride with me and my sweetheart.
For the past four years I have tried every variant of
"Don't slam the door" and have been told every variant of
-- excuses. From "I didn't slam it" to "It's Just a Car!
It won't hurt it". I know better; been there, paid the
repair bills.

I have tried the having the man open and close the door
for the neighbor lady which seems to work. If I try to do
it for her she will grab the door out of my hands and
slam it anyway. She does slam the door on her brand new
car but I think in the case of my car, it's either a
passive/aggressive thing or she thinks it's funny to annoy
me.

So I have decided from now on she is not to be in my car
at all. When dinner plans come up, instead of
volunteering to drive, I will offer to meet them there,
and offer some subterfuge as excuse ("We're going to Town
A which is close to the restaurant so meet us there").

I have tolerated her behavior until this past time about a
month ago, when she slammed the door getting into the back
seat and upon my giving her a WTF look, just sat grinning.

I will not make a point of it with her unless she outright
asks; I'm not out to offend her or change her ways. She
is a bill-paying adult and if she doesn't notice her new
car's driver door is already sagging a bit on the hinge
it's none of my business.

So thanks to everyone who posted on the door slamming part
of this forum, your comments made me feel a lot better.

PS -- By the way, I am a female, and have been a novice
'gearhead' since the 80s. My other female friends are
also car aware and considerate of other peoples' property
in general.

WTF is with women and slamming doors? Has ANYONE else noticed that women tend to slam any kind of door??

I've never noticed any connection like that. I've noticed people who tend to slam doors also walk like Frankenstein, clomping around everywhere like their feet are cement blocks. And they breathe through their mouths all the time.

you need to stop worshipping a stuipd car..

+1, ditching your date because you were so infuriated that you walked out in the middle of the movie is a little xtreme, whats going to happen if you ever wreck it? Don't get me wrong i love my mustang and used to feel kinda like you but now i realize the bottom line is it's just a piece of metal.

My wife has the opposite problem, she always jumps out of the car because she forgot something or is running into Starbucks for a latte and leaves the door wide open. Maybe I have the AC on, cranking some tunes or need to move the car. She can't seem to get the close gently all the way concept. Let's revive this thread again in 2016 :nice:

This thread is like 3 years old....
