Integrated power steering isuzu pitman arm

cpp

I didn't use the lower arm adjustment for alignment. They give two sets of shims, one hexagonal with offset hole for non adjustment and one that pivots for bringing the front of arm in or out. I stayed with just the uppers. Plate is powder coated, so welding would burn off paint. also plate is very thick and has plenty of mounting points. It isn't going anywhere. Just make sure you assemble everything and use a couple of jacks to raise in place, then drill. Found this works great. Remember you need to remove the strut bar and remove the bracket that is spot welded. That was the hardest part

Yep its a good kit. The only bad thing is that the ball joints used on the lower arm is slightly narrower than stock, so the ball joint gets crushed to heck. I believe thay have shims now.... if not a machine shop I know of can modify your spindles.... works great. Just FYI.

"I didn't use the lower arm adjustment for alignment." How DO you align it? The old fashioned 65-66 method of shims behind the upper control arms? If that's the case, i think you are negating one of the cooler features of this setup. Shimming the UCA is a pretty poor, time consuming way to achieve alignment, which is why they changed in 67. Still, overall looks like a really cool kit.

Hey everyone, Its been a while, but here is a quick update. I got everything figured out and installed in the car. I ended up milling both pitman arms down so they would fit together like a puzzle then welding them together. Here are a few pics of the arm, the box all mounted up in the car, and my homeade power to manual steering adapter.
