To confirm the ECT sensor is above the T-stat housing and not the one in the upper intake. If you did replace the correct one make certain the battery to engine ground is solid with no corrosion at the battery terminal or the engine stud.

Pull the spout and make sure there isn't a bent pin. It just prevents the PCM from advancing the timing when pulled (open circuit in the TFI)

there is no sensor in the upper intake...i replaced the one that is in the heater tube.....also checked the SPOUT connector and it was ok....and got a CEL today going home....car seemed to lack a little power....not much, just enough to feel

done a KOER test and while doing it the CEL went out....?.....no 212 or 118 code tho i got a 332(EGR flow) which can be expected.....guess ill leave it alone and see if it does it again

I was referring to the dash gauge sending unit in the upper intake driver's side behind and below the distributor. Some are confused between the two.

yeah i got what you meant...however there is still no sensor in the upper intake....its in the lower intake on the drivers side......no coolant runs thru the upper.....:D
